Robert Rausch joined Maynard, O’Connor, Smith, & Catalinotto in 1997 and was named a partner in the firm in 2004. Prior to joining the firm, he served as Law Clerk to Hon. Irad S. Ingraham, Supreme Court Justice for Chenango and Otsego Counties. Through that experience, he obtained an intense exposure to trial practice and the intricacies of New York civil practice rules and regulations.

Rob concentrates his practice on representation of defendants in a wide variety of personal injury litigation matters, including premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, construction site litigation, medical malpractice, and municipal law. His other practice areas include real property tax law, contract disputes, insurance coverage litigation, civil rights, and employment law.

He was admitted to practice in New York State courts in 1995, the United States District Court, Northern District of New York in 1996, and the U.S. Second Court of Appeals in 2000. He has handled complex trials and precedent-setting motions and appeals in all levels of State and Federal courts. Rob has also been a lecturer and published materials for use in many Continuing Legal Education programs for attorneys.

Rob is a member of the Albany County Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, New York State Trial Lawyers Association, New York State Tax Enforcement Advisory Committee, and is on the Albany Law School National Alumni Board of Directors. In addition, Rob volunteers his time through service on committees for the Albany Medical Center Children’s Cancer Center and the Law Day Run Against Domestic Violence.
